I remembered seeing some prototype Ufouria shots that had a different HUD, which was a cool find and all, but then I found about this.
Quote:
To make things even wierder, the Australian & European versions differ slightly. The main character sprites look the same, but the health status & a few other minor things were changed. The bulk of the game is the same, which begs the question: why?

So it might have been in the Australian final version, after all? Can anyone confirm/deny?

My copy of the game is Australian. The hud is the same as UK retail (No faces).

Since both use the "6U" serial it is unlikely they differ - though not completely impossible. Maybe there are different revisions.

Even if there were revisions, they probably wouldn't change anything in terms of gameplay, other than the very minor bug fix.

I'd volunteer to have my copy dumped, but it'd be a waste of resources and time.

Perhaps somebody could ask this guy if he just assumed that when looking at the back of the box he owns?

That is, if somebody can find who he/she is.

I'm just going to assume that's exactly what they did there. Both the American magazine ad and the Australian box show the same screenshots.

BTW, if you guys haven't heard, Ufouria's been announced for US Wii VC. Never thought I'd see the day, but damn am I glad. Here's hoping it sells well. I'd love to see a sequel, even if it's just WiiWare.
